"Our electric toothbrush failed suddenly, so we had to buy a new one. Of course it’s a new model, with features that some design team presumably think improve it in some way. One is that it no longer has a mains plug, only a USB plug, which we can’t accommodate anywhere. We needed an adaptor quickly: one that would fit into a tight corner under a shelf. It took more time than I thought, not least because, as everyone using this website knows, there are different kinds and sizes of two-pin sockets and no consensus as to descriptions that distinguish them.
