"Delivery was fairly swift. Very poorly packed. Just placed in a thin plastic bag, the end cap had come off in the post, leaving the circuit board loose in the bag. Fortunately I was able to carefully replace the circuit board and refit the end cap. I tested the adapter and so far it has been working ok. This avoided the inconvenience of having to send the item back and wait for a replacement. A couple of layers of bubble wrap would have prevented the issue. "

"Our electric toothbrush failed suddenly, so we had to buy a new one. Of course it’s a new model, with features that some design team presumably think improve it in some way. One is that it no longer has a mains plug, only a USB plug, which we can’t accommodate anywhere. We needed an adaptor quickly: one that would fit into a tight corner under a shelf. I went to my default browser, Duckduck. Go and started to type. It took more time than I thought, not least because, as everyone using this website knows, there are different kinds and sizes of two-pin sockets and no consensus as to descriptions that distinguish them. There’s also the question of what each adapts to what, and there's no consensus about how that should be described either. I found a good number of adaptors here, there & everywhere, many of which I didn’t quite trust. The phrase “shaver socket” turned out to be the key, or a key, anyway. It led me quickly to Electrospares. Net, where I found a clear, unambiguous picture and description of one that made me feel confident. "I needed a bathroom shaver point double USB A adaptor which I was using to actually run an insect repeller in the loft, yeah a bizarre and unusual use I know. With this as well as two different model toothbrushes, the single shaver and single USB A I have just isn't enough. I visited the normal 'jungle' place first but didn't like any of them.
