The temporary filling is easily moulded ready to be pushed into the part of your tooth that needs filling.
Manufactured from a zinc oxide based material, the tooth
filling is not an adhesive for safety reasons, but dries into the cavity
using the cavity shape to hold it in place.
Temporary tooth filling material is not intended to last
more than 28 days and you should seek qualified dental advice as soon as
possible.
Do not use for very large or painful fillings. Contains enough material for around 10 temporary fillings.
How to use this repair kit:
Drain excess saliva from your mouth and affected area prior to application.
Roll the paste into a ball before pushing it into the affected area, repeat until the cavity is filled. (Be careful not to overfill the cavity).
Cover the temporary filling to keep it dry for around 15 minutes after application. During this time bite your jaw together gently to hold filling in place.
Test the filling by biting gently after drying, if the filling has successfully dried you should not be able to taste it.
When tooth repair is needed and a professional visit is not yet possible, a zinc oxide-based tooth filling material is the perfect DIY solution. With enough product for up to 10 temporary fillings, it's worth considering for anyone looking for an easy way to bring tooth care into their own hands. Just remember that the tooth filling won't bond directly with the tooth; undercut areas are necessary in order for it to hold firmly in place.
